Please join me in prayer for my 96 yr. old mother, Leona, a resident at SJCC, who is experiencing another dementia-related crisis. A few years ago, a trusted relative planted a seed of fear and paranoia telling her that residents in nursing homes got their possessions stolen. Now that my mother has dementia and forgets where she puts things, that seed of fear keeps resurfacing and causing her terrible emotional trauma as she really believes that her things are being stolen and when found, is convinced that they are not hers but have been replaced. She is inconsolable for days. And my sister and I go through this every few months.
Please pray that this fear will be rooted out and that she may find peace and contentment in her last years.
She has been saved for 48 yrs. and has been a faithful servant since the day of her salvation. I know that God does not want his children to suffer such torment.
