History
The History of our family begins in Massena New York just over the border from Cornwall Ontario. New Testament Church in Massena, was established in the early 1980’s. From the time of its beginning it has always been a “regional church” having members from a wide radius around Massena and across the border into Ontario. Small groups are a large part of Church life at NTC. Early in 2001, in response to a growing segment of members coming from the city of Cornwall, a small group was started. By the fall of that same year, the number of people being drawn to God from that region had increased, and it was apparent that God was working in the city of Cornwall. In January 2002, it was obvious that it was the desire of God for NTC to establish and facilitate a new Church Body in the City of Cornwall. Prayer, planning and strategy continued over the months of 2002 and the excitement built at New Testament anticipating the arrival of the new “baby”. The original small group of eight couples had now grown to four small groups numbering over fifty people. On March 29th, 2003 NTC celebrated a “Sending Out Service” after the fashion of Acts chapter 13. Dick Iverson, Bob Isabell and Danny Bonilla, along with the eldership team of NTC laid hands upon the group that was sent out to establish Harvest Christian Fellowship.
